How to make a Video for YouTube Tutorial EN

This tutorial explains how to make a video for YouTube using images and a music mp3 file with image sliding effects and with annotations (annotations are made directly at the YouTube site after upload the video, so don’t need to worry for now).

Here is a video example i made using this tutorial steps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFIqVPprc58

First you will need a software to bind your material, “Windows Movie Maker” is a possibility because lets you images and a music file also with a lot effects to use, but i have found that at the to publish your video it takes a lot of time! I have found a free software called “Magix Slideshow Maker” (download from CNET http://download.cnet.com/Magix-Slideshow-Maker/3000-13455_4-10907281.html),after installing and running the program click alt+tab if you don’t see the program window, select the program icon, here is a screenshot:

For a music with 5min i use about 40 images but don’t need to worry about that because there is an option to set the amount of time the slideshow remains in each image, you can also use other videos to bind but i haven’t tested it yet.

Now, go on, select your images/videos, the music file(s), and the style for the image transaction effects at the end button Done! you will have a screen like this:

You can preview your video very fast clicking the play button. If you like it now it’s time to export it. You have 2 options, the first click at “Create video and view it” this will generate a *.wmv video (this format can be uploaded to YouTube)-you have several settings and can generate a [HQ] video, but this takes a lot of time…

The second option is to click “Upload movie to YouTube”, this selection also generates a *.wmv video and places it at your documents folder in Magix folder. The video is generated very fast with average quality. After it’s generated you see a prompt to input your YouTube account details, at this point i prefer to click cancel and upload the video directly in the YouTube site.

Go on, upload your video, then see it. I will see that you have the chance of add some anotations while watching the video (must be logged at your YouTube account). The anotations allows you to place information and links to other YouTube videos or to your own channel. It doesn’t allow you to put a link to your website – that link can be placed at your profile at the specified field.

That’s it! Enjoy your videos…

Selling Music Online Through Digital Distribution

Selling music online is exceedingly popular for independent artists as, at least in the United States, more music is sold digitally than in physical music formats, such as CDs sold in brick and mortar stores. It has been this way since 2008.

There are several ways to sell your music online through digital distribution if you are an artist. It’s possible to sell singles, EPs and albums either from your own website or from one of the many digital music retailers. The music is uploaded, and if it is sold through a digital music retailer, then the retailer is responsible for collecting payment, providing a download method or methods, and sending you the payment minus whatever fees they charge for their services. There are also services which allow you to upload your music to them, and then they distribute the music to various online digital music retailers for you.

Selling music online from one’s own free-standing website is an option, but unless you are proficient in website design and promotion and can do everything yourself, it can be an expensive proposition. There are companies which have tools available to help you build your own website where fans can easily download your music, listen to your music, watch your videos, read your lyrics and share your content on social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Typically a monthly fee is charged for the website hosting, plus additional fees for sales and/or payment processing.

Independent artists who want more exposure for selling music online should sell their work from a mainstream digital music retailer. An online music store sells audio files of an artist’s music on a per-song or per album basis. If you chose to upload and sell your music this way, you need to choose your venues carefully as not all services charge the artist the same fees.

Be cautious when looking at credit card offers. Some companies are known to offer easy o balance transfers with generous grace periods and extremely low payments as a come-on to get new customers. If your debt is nearly paid off or if you know you will be getting a large amount of money before the grace period is over, you might think about this. But be sure you know whether the payment will go up and by how much once the grace period expires.

Another thing to check into are any penalties, withdrawal fees or termination of service fees you might have to pay. This needs to be calculated into the picture, too.

Knowing everything you possibly can about your credit card accounts is the most useful weapon you can possess. You need to know where all your money is going each month.
