PR Advertising Jobs – Q & A about PR Advertising

Public relation and advertising have often been differentiated with the scale often titling in favor of the former. PR was always seen as a potent tool to attract people and expand business; it is a form of advertising – PR didn’t acknowledge, however it is a different story! Times change and so does the situation. The situation so stands today that the two have become inseparable. There is no PR without advertising and vice-versa. Quite understandably, the fusion of the two has created a job that is lucrative, high paying but has high risk as well!

There are quite a few questions that are waiting to be answered to help you succeed in a PR advertising job. The questions may range from very basic to really deep aspects of the same. Here they are:

Q. What is PR advertising?

Advertising was always seen as a good way to attract people’s attention but often people (target audience) complained that their interest was not taken into account.

This led to a different department within the advertising section known as the public relation or the PR. It later became a different department of its own, but that’s a different story. The corporate identified that it was smooth PR that would keep them in the competition. All of this happened after a monopolist reign, of course. PR guys became the most well paid and most sought after, overnight!

PR was given so much importance that advertising was overlooked – that’s when their business started getting affected again. Someone thought of clubbing both of them again and thus PR advertising was the new fad!

Q. What are the advantages of PR advertising?

Well, the main advantage of PR advertising is that you need not spend too much time in advertising at all! Since you’re involved in PR, the people (target group) realize the company’s commitment towards them and without even knowing, they promote the brand of their own. That is indirect promotion and is one of the important aspects for a company’s success.

And the best part is that you can be friends with the media too! One important thing that one cannot overlook is that if you keep the media happy, they will keep the people happy and in turn, the company will benefit from it! PR helps transforming an event into news and as we all know, news is what sells the best and fastest.
Q. What does PR do that advertising cannot?

Actually there is nothing that an advertisement can’t do. The only thing is that part of ‘involving the people’ in the advertisement is called a PR job. All the ‘polls’ and ‘interactive’ advertisements that we see is a PR exercise. The trio of internet, PR and advertising when come together; there is no stopping a company from getting what it wants! Such is the power of PR advertising. It is a great career opportunity and just by seeking to focus on these 3 key areas (individually and as a unit too), you can be certain of your product’s success!

The Beginner’s Guide To The Best Web Hosting Solution

People just starting out with a website often need to find the best web hosting solution but they ultimately struggle to find it. Hopefully this article will give you all the information you need to successfully find a great hosting provider.

Firstly a common myth is that the more money you pay the better the service will be, this is complete BS. Maybe a few years ago this was once the case but it certainly isn’t anymore. Thanks to the amount of competition around in the low cost market many web hosting companies are now offering fantastic packages and great services. Now I’m not saying the cheapest choice is the best but you can certainly get a great service at an affordable price.

Another mistake people make is that they fail to make sure a package has the actual features that they need. Some people just jump in because they see they have the biggest list of extras but many times that package may be missing something that you deem vital. These can include tools like site builders or bonuses like a free domain name.

Finally make sure that you check out any hosting providers reputation for reliability and customer support. A good review site should help you with both but if you can’t find one use forums, discussion boards or whatever you can to find out about these factors. Without good levels of reliability all the effort you put into your site is wasted and without good customer support you may struggle when you encounter problems.

If you follow the advice given in this article you should avoid many of the pitfalls that come with looking for the best web hosting solution and find a provider you are completely satisfied with.

Why Digital Cctv?

When setting up a CCTV system for your property or your business there are many different options and things to consider and this can sometimes make it hard to choose just one CCTV system out of the large selection.

The majority of people looking to install cameras in their property no matter what the nature of that property is, will be looking for digital cameras. There are many reasons that people gravitate towards digital cameras, and these include the fact that they are higher definition both temporal and spacial meaning that they have more pixels for a crisper image and they have a higher frame rate. A digital CCTV system will also be preferable for most people as the data it saves goes directly to a memory card or to online storage and this then means that it doesn’t have to be physically ‘stored’ such as that data kept on a VHS (which you get with analogue cameras). Perhaps most importantly of all, a digital CCTV system allows you to record from multiple ‘tracks’ or that’s multiple cameras simultaneously. This then makes you far less likely to miss any important action through recording from the wrong camera at the time anything happens.

At the same time, a digital CCTV camera can benefit from many other functions and additional bells and whistles. This is because the data is digital meaning that it can be manipulated in a number of ways. With a motion sensor for instance you can ensure that you don’t waste space recording static footage, whereas with video analysis you can make sure that you only record when there is human activity being picked up. These are highly useful as they allow you to record much less footage which not only saves memory on your storage device, but also means that you won’t have half as much footage to sift through in order to see if anything happened during the night. This also then means that you can tie your CCTV system in to your other security such as an alarm. This way you can then trigger the alarm to sound when human-looking movement is picked up on the camera.

Using an IP CCTV system (Internet Protocol) you can even broadcast the footage across a wireless connection to be watched remotely. Further more, using VoIP (Voice Internet Protocol) you can even set it to record sound and transmit it so that you can ask who’s there when your alarm sounds without having to actually be present in the room. Here you have almost achieved omnipresence…

Another benefit of IP CCTV is the fact that it doesn’t need wires. The fact that it uses a wireless internet connection means that there is no call for cables running through the walls or suspended ceiling which of course is a great advantage allowing you to place the cameras wherever you want them without restrictions and meaning that you can move them quickly and easily without having electrical contractors come around and dig out the insulation in your walls.

Outsourcing – Be Specific

Clarity is the foundation of success. You must know what you want before you can ask for it or achieve it yourself. This applies to successful outsourcing as well.

Before you hire outsourced help, get really clear about what you want from the outsourcing company and the employees they will supply you with. What specific qualities are you looking for in your workers?

This might be a bit uncomfortable at first. As Americans we’ve been culturally programmed that it’s not appropriate, or even legal in some cases, to devise a very restricted set of criteria for your employees.

I’m not advising you to be unethical in your exercise of discrimination. Rather, I’m suggesting that you consider business-needs-based reasons why you might need outsourced employees of a certain age or gender. These are legitimately acceptable considerations overseas, so take advantage of the fact.

Remember, you are in charge.

These people will be your workforce, and you can ask the outsourcing company for whatever kind of employees you want. If you need a phone bank of all females, not a problem. If you need the energized attitude of an all-under-25 workforce, you can have it.

Also consider the following criteria. What time do you need your outsourced employees to be available for work? What specific kinds of experience and skills do you need your employees to have? What level of English speaking, comprehension, and reading ability do you need your employees to have? Do you need workers with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel? Are you looking for payroll and accounting experts? Get very clear about what qualities will bring you the biggest success for your particular business.

You are in control.

You decide exactly what type of outsourced employees you want. As a fellow American businessman myself, I understand that you may have grown accustomed to accepting what’s available in the stateside workforce, or that you may fear the legal implications of asking for what you want. But have no fear. With an overseas outsourcer, you can confidently ask for and get precisely the kind of worker your business really needs.

So, when you are considering prospective outsourcing companies, make sure you are very clear about what you want. What you ask for is what you get!
